DIRECTIONS TO RACE VENUE

ROAD RACE AND EVENT SCHEDULE
- All Racers must be pre-registered for the Road Race.
- Competitor sign-in is required. Sign-in will end 30 minutes before each start, in the Bearspaw Lions Club.

- Women to finish no later than a lap of the Cat 3 race. Race will be truncated if lapped by Cat 3 field.
- There is a neutral feed zone located just west of the start/finish which will only be available to the category 1/2 race at the start of the 11th and 12th laps. No feeds for all other categories. Feeding will be from the RIGHT side of the road only.
- Results & awards to follow as soon as possible after each event.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
- Very challenging 5.3km circuit with twisty rollers and a tough climb to the finish line each lap.
- Start/Finish & Race HQ @ Bearspaw Lions Club.
- Riders will head west on Nagway Road
- Corner 1: Right turn onto Hamilton Drive
- Corner 2: Right turn onto 12 Mile Coulee Road
- Corner 3: Right turn onto Nagway Road
- Climb to finish in front of VIP area @ Bearspaw Lions Club
- ** NOTE: Centre Line Rule is strictly in effect. This is a curvy course and riders will need to pay careful attention to their position on the road. (First warning is in this guide, second warning will be given during race staging. Any violations will be considered a “third strike” and result in disqualification.) **

STAGING AND START LINE
- Start/Finish & Race HQ @ Bearspaw Lions Club.
- Parking is available at the Bearspaw Lions Club.
- Overflow parking is available on Nagway Road WEST of Bearspaw Road, or at the Rocky Ridge Co-op plaza (12 Mile Coulee Road)
- Parking on the race course is absolutely PROHIBITED. Future use of this race course and venue is at stake and requires the cooperation of all parties participating.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Helmets must be worn in the race and at the race venue, including the parking area and when warming up.
- All UCI, CCA, and ABA Regulations will apply.
- Race Numbers: Race Numbers are to be placed on right shoulder and left hip. Frame plates must be attached behind the head tube or seat post.
- Center Line Rule: in effect for Hill Climb and Road Race
- Washroom Facilities:
- Hill Climb: Washrooms are available near the entrance to the Festival Tent.
- Criterium: Porta Potties will be provided behind Bow Cycle near the Community Garden.
- Road Race: Porta-potties will be available at the Bearspaw Lions Club.
- Please use designated facilities; public urination may result in a fine/disqualification.
- Warming up on the course after the start of the first race of the day is prohibited. If you must access the course on your bicycle, please proceed in the opposite direction of the race and (if in a group) in single file. Please pull over and stop off of the road when a race in progress is approaching/passing your location.
- No littering. If you must throw items away you are required to do so in the designated feed zone.
- No free laps
- Commissaires may pull lapped/out of contention riders at their discretion. Pulled riders will be notified at the Start/Finish line. If your number is called, please pull over at or before the feed zone and report to the Commissaires at the Start/Finish as soon as possible.
